THE TEACHER

Sophie Dupont has always been passionate by visual arts. Painting and drawing are a part of her everyday life.

 

After learning the "Art & Creation" drawing method of Griselda Serafini in Vevey, Sophie had in 2011 the opportunity to realise her dear dream : to open a workshop to teach drawing.

She wanted to offer to the students the opportunity to learn all the basics of drawing, without following the academic path which may seem frightening to many people. Sophie enjoys teaching and transmitting knowledge, helping students to gain confidence in their own potential.

Her personal artistic universe is greatly influenced by the writers HP Lovecraft (The Myth of Cthulhu), JRR Tolkien (Lord of the Rings), CS Lewis (Narnia), Philip Pullmann (His Dark Materials) and HP Rowling (Harry Potter), as well as illustrators like Grzegorz Rosinski (Thorgal), John Howe (Tolkien's universe) and Régis Loisel (La Quête de l'Oiseau du Temps). Manga culture has not been forgotten. She loves shônen with authors like Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball, Blue Dragon), Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Neon Genesis Evangelion) and Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto). Obviously, this is only a non-exhaustive list!

On the other hand, Sophie has been studying for about 20 years various aspects of parapsychology (including shamanism, mediumship and tarot), notably in the world famous and unique colleague Arthur Findlay in England. In 2019, she decided it was timeto share her knowledge and experience through psychic art and intuition development courses.
